Good afternoon, dear community!

I have recently purchased a Nitro ANV15-51 laptop:

Core i9-13900H
RTX 4060 8 GB
RAM 32 GB

It has a M.2 1TB SSD + additional slot. After searching the forum I found out that the two slots can have different PCI versions (4.0 vs 3.0).

Question - what is the maximum SSD capacity that can be installed? Is it theoretically possible to put two 4TB SSDs in both slots? Yes, someone will think this is silly, but I'm interested in what limits my laptop has, so please refrain from comments in the spirit of “why do you need such a capacity?!!!”.

I am interested in what will happen if you put SSD of this capacity in both slots. Are there any technical limitations, for example, on the processor side, as with RAM? Thanks in advance and I apologize for my English (not my mother tongue).

Just some additional information for you, you can fit a Gen 4 x4 lane 2TB or a 4TB M.2 SSD drive boot drive or in your ANV15-51 laptops SSD2 slot without any problems, as the Gen 4 is backward compatible for this laptops 2nd M.2 SSD slot that is a Gen 3 x4 M.2 SSD but it will work at the Gen 3 speeds lane of the laptop.

The above ANV15-51 Acer quoted drive capacities specs are only what Acer tested this laptop with, as your laptops capacities in a Windows operating systems is determined by the format of the drive, for example an MBR/Legacy formatted drive is limited to a max of 2.2TB capacity and the GUID (GPT) format has a theoretical limit of 8 petabytes (1 petabyte = 1000TB) which you will never ever reach. Btw, if you want to see a good benchmark of M.2 drive speeds and tests of allot of the major drives on the market in capacities of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB M.2 SSD drives look here. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
