So i got this monitor for my Playstation 5, i heard that there is an update to get 2k / 1440p output run on ps5, however the test for ps5 1440p CANNOT PASS and its showing my monitor as 4k 60hz or 1080p 60 hz / 120 hz

Does it mean this model is not compatible with ps5? i would like to replace this if so

As of August 2024, the PlayStation 5 does not support native 1440p resolution. However, there is a possibility that Sony could introduce native 1440p support in a future software update. The PS5 already supports 4K and 1080p resolutions, and it offers a "1080p" output option for 1440p monitors, which can lead to some upscaling.

The demand for 1440p support is growing, especially among gamers using high-refresh-rate monitors that operate at this resolution. If Sony sees enough interest from the community, they may prioritize this feature in future updates.

In summary, while there is no official announcement regarding native 1440p support, it remains a possibility depending on user demand and Sony's strategic decisions.
