Sorry, you  cannot do so at this time. Unless and until your model is listed on this ACER compatiblity list   AND Win11 drivers are available for your model on the ACER drivers download page , you cannot and should not try to install the current version of Win11.

And that is the official answer. Before trying anything, please create a recovery disk. That way you can always get back to here.

Just to add something else, there is absolutley no advantage for you to upgrade to Win-11 on your E1-571G from Win-10 as Win-10 is 1000% more compatible, suitable and functional for your laptop than Win-11 wiil ever be! Win-11 is just the usual Microsoft messy upgrade of Win-10 that worked prfectly and I'm sure that Microsofte motto is "if it aint broke then we will fix it and change a good working product" not the other way around :D and the only thing that you will get by doing a vanila ugrade (which are available for uncompatible laptops) is a cosmetic one and will not be a complet one. Don't touch and/or try to do a buggy upgrade leave your E1-571G as its running now and with the supplied Acer appropriate drivers for your E1-571G.

Yes. But what if Win11 still sounds better to me than Win10? Or even Win8? But maybe not quite so good as Win7. Then what should I do?

I would wait for Win12. Win12 is now scheduled for release in less than 2 years. But you may have to buy another new PC to install it.

Just wanted to share some success story in Win11 upgrade for Acer E1-571G laptop. First you need to upgrade your hardware:

    • I started to move all my important files and had it transferred to a external hard drive via USB connection.
    • installed DDR3 8GB 1600Mhz 12800 X 2 to make it 16GB total
    • installed a new SSD; I used Samsung EVO 870 2.5 inch SATA.

After hardware upgrade, I can immediately feel the raw power :D…then

I created a bootable USB with Window 11 and clean installed. When your computer starts keep pressing F12 to enter the BIOS, change the boot priority option to USB Drive and then put your bootable Window 11 drive into the USB slot. Once it boots follow the option for a clean install. All the drivers for the Acer E1-571G will be updated once the Windows 11 is installed.

Yes it is possible! I have done it and using my 12 year old laptop with no problems.

I am also planning to upgrade my Atheros 150mbps wifi module to Intel AC7260 module, this should help better my connection speed to 300mbps on 2.4 g and 867mbps on 5g on my Mesh Wifi. :)

    Hope this helps others

Thanks for update. It would be interesting to see a screenshot of the system information after installing Win11 by pressing WIN+R and entering 'msinfo32'. Thanks.

Just gone through the SSD install on my 2013 E1-571 as the HDD was struggling, all great now!
Looking at Win11 it says not compatible:

    1. The i5-3230M CPU @2.6Ghz, 2 cores, 4 logical processors isn't compatible

    2. TPM isn't enabled

Any idea if I can acheive both?

You can try these suggestions . But not recommended due to high risk of hardware failures and no automatic updates. Either stay with Win10 or install Mint Cinnamon as a long term solution.
