I have acer swift go 14 SFG14-73 and I prefer to keep its media mode off but don't know why it turns on automatically. and sometimes trackpad doesn't respond as well until I haven't changed the settings (once again turn off media mode)

    Hi @AyushSah

Here are few things that you can try if the media mode on the trackpad of your Acer Swift Go 14 SFG14-73 is automatically turning on:

    • Switch touchpad modesBoot into BIOS, go to the Main tab, and look for touchpad settings. You can try switching between Basic and Advanced modes.
    • Turn off media controls in the AcerSense appThis will turn off the media controls, but the glowing letters will remain.
    • Check for hardware issuesIf restoring the system doesn't fix the issue, you might have a hardware issue. You can try taking the laptop to Acer Services.
    • Check the batteryLow battery power can affect the touchpad. If the battery is below 50%, the system may throttle GPU-CPU power to preserve battery life. This can increase touchpad latency and affect system performance.
    • Check the touchpad driverThe touchpad driver might be corrupted. You can try uninstalling the driver, rebooting the laptop, and letting the driver reinstall itself.
    • Check the touchpad cableThe touchpad cable might be loose or faulty.
