Hey, first post on here and im relatively new to laptops and gaming on computers in general. I (over a year ago) purchased a Acer aspire 7 of the model A715-76G-53WJ

and am using it for both University and gaming. Ive been looking around multiple threads and ive been getting mixed messages on what the solution is.

Trying to see what SSD card should be used in the 2nd slot of the aspire, Ill stick with the already placed 512gb that im already using placed in the 1st slot. But im just interested if theres a different format i should follow for slot two and if there are any mid range recommendations that anyone can give, if certain brands work better and what format of storage i should be looking out for.

Any help is much appreciated.

The Acer Aspire 7 A715-76G-53J9 can support up to 2TB SSDs in both of its M.2 slots. The primary M.2 slot is compatible with PCIe NVMe Generation 4.0 x4 for Gen4 SSDs, while the secondary M.2 slot is designed for PCIe NVMe Generation 3.0 x4 for Gen3 SSDs. It is recommended to use a Gen4 SSD like the Samsung 990 Evo and a Gen3 SSD like the Samsung 970 Evo Plus, both up to 2TB.
