Hi Folks!

Is it normal for my laptop to reach the temperature of 85c when playing game (Valorant). It bothers me that the temperature of the laptop is so high that it might damage it in the long run.

Most gaming laptops are designed to handle temperatures up to around 90°C before they start to throttle performance to prevent overheating. However, consistently running at 85°C can reduce the lifespan of your components over time.

To keep your laptop cooler, you can try:

    • This can help improve airflow around your laptop.
    • Dust buildup can obstruct airflow and cause higher temperatures.
    • Reducing the voltage can lower temperatures without significantly impacting performance.
    • Setting a cap on your frame rate can reduce the load on your GPU and CPU.

@Diya1811 I'm trying to use Cooling Pad to help on lowering the laptop temperature but it seems like even the cooling pad is having a problem to lower it 😂. Anyway, Thanks for your input

When playing you're playing a game, a GPU should normally sit between 65 and 85C (149 and 185F). Idle temperatures typically hover around 30 to 45C (86 to 113F).
