Can I upgrade my Acer Aspire 3 A315-21 to 16GB RAM? Compatibility of Crucial and Corsair Modules

I own a Aspire 3 A315-21-91ZB (N17Q3) laptop which has 6 GB of RAM. I have opened the memory compartement and found a 2 GB ram stick inside. Would it be possible to upgrade it to a 16 GB stick? If not, would a 8 GB stick be possible? The options I have available to replace it with would be the Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM (CT16G4SFRA32A.M8FF) or the Corsair 16GB DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz CL22 (CMSX16GX4M1A3200C22) module. Would both of these work for my laptop? And if 16 GB is not compatible, would the Corsair 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz CL22 (CMSX8GX4M1A3200C22) be compatible?

This model has 1 removable RAM slot so I assume there is 4GB of soldered RAM.

Maximum memory supported is 12GB which is 8+4GB.

Hi I have the same laptop (ACER Aspire A315-21 N17Q3) and I was looking for a RAM to upgrade its performances. I bought a Crucial RAM (this one in specific "Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL17 CT8G4SFS824A"), but I don't see any significant improvements in the performances and multitasking of my laptop. It still takes time when opening multiple pages, lags, is overall slow.

Do you think switching to a different RAM would work better? Like maybe one with different features? Or simply another brand? Do you have any other recommendations? I have already upgraded the disk to a SSD.

thanks to whoever will reply :)

This model is a bit old. You can try to close most of the background application or reinstall Windows.
