Warranty Confirmation Request for Aspire AV15-51 Hinge Issue

Dear Acer Support Team,

I am writing to seek clarification regarding a hinge issue on my Aspire AV15-51 laptop. Despite minimal use and careful handling, the hinge began creaking within a few months of purchase and eventually cracked, leading to damage to the LCD screen.

My Chase card services offer coverage for damages up to one year after the manufacturer's warranty expires, provided the issue would have been covered under the original warranty as a manufacturing defect. To process my claim, I need confirmation from Acer that this hinge issue would typically be covered under warranty if it were determined to be a manufacturing defect.

Could you please confirm whether, under Acer's warranty policy, a hinge failure identified as a manufacturing defect would be covered? This confirmation is essential for my Chase card coverage.

Thank you for your assistance.

The actual hinge does not break in laptops as its made out of metal, it can malfunction which is covered under Acer warranty, or the hinge mountings brake away from either the bottom case or the upper LCD case which is what probably happened to your AV15-51 laptop which is covered under the Acer warranty also. Send some photos of the actual damage then we can tell you 100%. For official Acer repair documentation and Acer warranty conditions for your insurance, you need to contact Acer in your country as Acer community does not have any ties with Acer directly in your country. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
