Hi, in Widows give access to the microphone and press the F4 button that mutes the microphone:

    Hi Jeyamani

Go to the Realtek Audio Console, Device Advanced settings, and switch analog to Headset.

    Hallo Axxo,

My laptop has the same problem too, however that Analog to Headset setting shows as Faded or as if it's locked with Headset setting. I don't see any pop-up whenever I insert 2-1 headset (with mic). What's going on here?

    Hi tux7730,

    Try to check the following:

    Method 1:

Uncheck the two option in exclusive Mode then restart your PC.

    Method 2:

Try connecting the device to another PC and check if the issue is the same. If it is, then it's on the device's setting that's causing this and not Windows related.

Why does tux need any "fixing"?

He inserted a headset. The realtek audio console correctly sensed that it is a headset. That's why it's grey out as headset as non-selectable.

Then, why can't I hear in my headphones?

The audio not getting cut off from the internal speakers so the toggle function isn't happening into my headphones.

Tux already knows that in his main thread.

The manual is wrong in this particular laptop model because it doesn't come with Sound Blaster Studio app. I downloaded his realtek audio driver and inspected it, no sign of Sound Blaster Studio app is found in the driver itself. Even if there is a Sound Blaster Studio app, that app will only handle stuff like EQ and not jack detection anyway.

How can I resolve Headphone/Headset and Sound Blaster Studio issues on my A325-42 — Acer Community

In desktop pc situation, when people disable front audio panel detection, both pc's external speakers plugged into the back of the motherboard and headphones plugged into the front audio panel will have sound at the same time. Many people asked this question so that don't have to unplug their headphones every time that want to use pc speakers.
