Hi all,

I've been using Half Refresh Rate option in Nvidia Control Panel with Nvidia drivers which arrived with the laptop but I had to update the drivers because NVENC stopped working in OBS as I described here:

Later I updated the drivers one more time and now I can't anymore enable the Half Refresh Rate option - there is only "Use the 3D application setting", ON and OFF under Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Global Settings > Vertical sync

Did they remove that option from the drivers or something is wrong?

For your Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH317-51) with a GeForce 1050 Ti, it's advisable to use the latest NVIDIA drivers directly from NVIDIA's website rather than relying on the outdated Acer drivers unless you are facing some issue wiwith New nvidia drivers. The NVIDIA versioning system differs from Acer's; for example, the driver version 21.21.13.7689 corresponds to an older NVIDIA version around 384.x.

Regarding the Half Refresh Rate option, recent driver updates may have altered or removed this feature. If it’s no longer available, consider using NVIDIA Profile Inspector to set "1/2 VSync" instead of relying on the standard control panel settings for better performance. Of you don't know how to use then search it on youtube or Google as there are many guides for it.

As I said - I already am using Nvidia drivers from Nvidia's website (I linked to the post containing the details) and I've already updated the drivers twice but Half Refresh option is still missing.

Regarding the Half Refresh Rate option, recent driver updates may have altered or removed this feature.

That is exactly what was my question - did they remove that option or they didn't?

Can anybody confirm they really removed that option?

I said: "I've been using Half Refresh Rate option in Nvidia Control Panel with Nvidia drivers which arrived with the laptop", meaning I do know how to use that option when it is present.

    Thank you for the reply!
