I have Acer Extensa 215-52. I want to dual boot it with ubuntu. But my hard disk partitions are not showing while Zorin OS . Only bootable USB is showing as /dev/sda. No Other media is showing. It should show all partitions from hard disk.
I have changed the SATA mode to AHCI also.
secure boot disabled
fast boot disabled
USB created through RUFUS with GPT partition.
Do I need to change anything else in BIOS or other settings?

Please let me know its urgent.
Thanks

Make sure the boot menu is enabled in the BIOS. It's best, once you have the Linux install running, to set the EFI file as trusted and re-enable secure boot. That is an Intel system, so likely IRST is enabled. I don't see a setting in the BIOS to disable that, so the setting might be hidden. Try hitting CTRL-S in the Main tab and in the Advanced tab to verify it's off. Otherwise you have to get the drivers for Linux to have the drives show up. If you have an Optane card installed you may have to remove it…

Boot menu is enabled , When I press ctrl + S in in main tab it shows two options ,touchpad and Sata Mode In sata mode there are two option -

    ACHI / RAID

by default it is set in RAID.

Boot into Windows and use the IRST utilities to make sure it's taken out of RAID mode, then boot to the BIOS and change that to AHCI. See if that works. If you just switch it off RAID mode in the BIOS you run the risk that Windows will no longer boot.

I did it and nothing happened really..when I switched to AHCI it just show blue death screen

and i just have to set It to RAID again then its fine.

AND about the linux installer it does`t list the hard drive even after doing this..

You have to take it out of RAID mode before the drive will be recognized by Linux, and you have to take it out of RAID mode while booted into Windows so Windows will recognize the change. If you try to just change it in the BIOS without telling Windows first, it will act as you saw.
