You can roll back the bios version and your problem will fix first roll it back to 1.10 bios and upgrade to 1.14 then you can use your 15.7 gb of ram

I got this new laptop 4 days ago and updated to Bios 1.18. And the "Hardware Reserved Ram is stuck at 2.3GB".
To make things worse, I only had 8GB ram installed and this had caused my apps can't load properly. Is there any temporary solution to reduce this amount?

One option would be to downgrade the bios version, but this is a laborious process, as it is not enough to simply download and install.
I think the best thing to do for now is to buy another ram of at least 8bg.

I think the current situation can't be resolve/rectified until ACER issue a new BIOS. Else you got to add in additional 1 stick of ram, like what I did to my current system.

Acer needs to update the Intel CPU microcode (MCU) of the Nitro V15 ANV15-51 series. Although version 1.18 was released a short time ago, it still uses an outdated version (0x411F to 0x4123) for these laptops equipped with Raptor Lake P/H/U 13th and 14th gen processors:
Current Intel MCU versions available:
CPUID Family Latest Latest MCU Version B06A2, Raptor Lake P/H/U 0x4122 or 0x4123 B06A3

ok, thanks for your suggestion. btw Is your ram 1Rx16? (Acer Nitro V ANV15-51)

I'm running both 8GB x 2 (SR). Original configuration was only 8GB x 1 (SR).
At least now the laptop is working as it should, and additional ram helps to load more apps.😅

Today I contacted the customer support regarding this issue, they are saying that, as the technology advanced the hardware reservation will also increase BY TIME.
