brand new Acer Nitro 5 overheating,already reaching 94 degrees

i recently bought a Nitro 5 with an i5-12450H and an RTX 4050. ran great for like 5 days and now its already reaching 94 degrees on 10 year old games and causing thermal throttling.

i have it on a cooling pad aswell.

my previous Acer Nitro also had an overheating problem.

the only way i can reduce the temps is by setting my power mode to best power efficiency, but that takes away a solid 60-100 fps.

i cant undervolt since this CPU is locked.

And the bios is just a standard dumb bios so i cant do anything.

its like Acer cant build proper laptops.

anyone have a solution?

And please no obvious questions like dust, airflow etc. The laptop isn't even 2 weeks old, that cant be the problem. Especially since i have it on a cooling pad with 2 fans.

Make sure using cooling with its stands as it make difference and room temperature is cool if still face same issue then You got laptop with bad thermal paste. You should contact seller and ask for return and replacement as it is under return and replacement window.

If you don't want to replace it, then send it to a service center for thermal paste, or you can apply it yourself using the best quality paste.

I have it on a stand thats lifted up. And why would i need to repaste? Its a brand new laptop. And im wearing double clothes because its cold so thats not the problem either. + repasting it myself will take away the warranty and sending it back will take weeks, and i need it for college aswell. I paid €1100 for this piece of [Sensitive Content] so is good quality really too much to ask for?
