I am stuck I am rebuilding a Acer Aspire 7560-Sb416 web says it takes two hard drive but no way to put any hard drive in the 1 spot not even a slim one

What do they use?

I was looking at a SATA connector that takes and converts a USB to a SATA, but seller says it is not to be used as a hard drive

So, stumped.

Yes, the Aspire 7560 that you have and the Aspire 7750 have the exact same Acer part numbers HDD back doors for both laptops so they are the same and with fit each others bottom case.

The last model digits of your Aspire 7560 laptop the SB416 is how Acer marks your laptops specific specs not the actual model of your laptop, as your laptop base shape and upper and lower enclosure design are the Aspire 7560 and those last 5 digits model numbers don't mean a different laptop construction. Also, sorry I wrote the wrong model number of your laptop in my previous answer above, but I changed it to the correct Aspire 7560 above to save any confusion. Hope this clears everything up for you.

That drive that you are trying to fit in there is an old 320GB capacity and could be different and thicker, try the newer drives if you want to spend money on this old laptop? Or buy one of these M2 SATA Riser B Key M2 To SATA Adapter SATA3 6G Card for 2230-2280 M.2 SATA SSD as they are like $7,25 and cheap and buy a SATA M.2 SSD and use that with a bigger capacity.

Put this adapter into that 2nd HDD space and convert that SATA 2.5" into a SATA 3 M.2 slot, simple:

The Aspire 7560 laptop has 2x SATA 3 HDD spaces as shown below and the best and quickest boot drive should be a 2.5" SSD SATA 3 drive like the 870 EVO SATA III 2.5 inch SSD up to a max 2TB capacity or a 2TB mechanical HDD SATA 3 fitted into its internal 2.5" drive space as these 2.5" drives fit into that space and its impossible that they don't!

Also, you can add an additional 3rd 2.5" drive instead of this laptops optical ODD/DVD drive with a SATA 3.0 2.5 Inch SSD HDD Case/Box Adapter caddy. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Aspire 7560 back without HDD doors

This is the Aspire 7560 service guide storage subsystem specs

Ram specs, the best and quickest ram to fit is the DDR3-1600MT/s 1.5V at 2x 4GB.

    @JamesT

It should take a 2.5-Inch HDD or SSD.

YES, that HDD that you are showing in the caption above is a SATA 3 Mechanical HDD that has a platter(s) that spins at 7200rpm like its stated on the sticker of the HDD. The SATA 3 are the last 2.5" HDD standard for these drives as previous and older HDD were SATA 2 and SATA 1 etc, so if you haven't heard of SATA 3 then you haven't been involved in computers for a very long time as SATA 3 has been around since 2009😁

Below is a caption of the back of your Aspire 7560 laptops and all its HDD back doors at #5 and #6 which are for SATA 3 2.5" mechanical HDD or SSD flash memory drive which are all the same thickness. I don't know what size that BEIQEW 500GB – 5400PMR/16MB mechanical HDD is as I've never ever heard of that brand? But being form China it could be anything and not a compatible standard thickness drive, so and if it doesn't fit into the Aspire 5760 2.5" spaces, than its not a standard size 2.5" drive and you should get it exchanged and get a reputable manufacturer like 2.5" SATA Western Digital or a Seagate mechanical drives or a Samsung 2.5" SSD SATA drive, as all these manufacturers are reputable HDD manufacturers and their drives will fit into your laptop back spaces. Good luck.

Note: The below HDD are drives that Acer tested with the Aspire 7560, remember that this list was done in 2012 when this laptop was released, so there are newer SATA 3 type 2.5" drives from these manufacturers below, so look them up as they are of better and more technologically advanced specs and components than 12 years ago SATA 2.5" drives that are listed below:

Get the 2.5" HDDs that are listed above from a known and reputable manufacturer, as I've never ever heard of a 2.5" HDD being too thick and not fitting into an Acer 2.5" HDD space. But copy brands coming from China could be anything and/or any size, so you have to be careful especially with HDD where you put valuable data, as and with a cheap HDD you will lose your data, so be careful! ?

    I know what you mean

Like those so called external hard drives that are a case with a 2M card in them and s weighted down with weights so they feel like a hard drive
