Aspire M5-481PT Garbage Right Out of the Box - Warranty Support Did Nothing

Got this computer - after paying EXTRA for next day delivery on 8/27 Right out of the box, there was no audio, and only headphones worked. Speaker would crackle a little when plugging in headphones, so I knew it was something that had to be repaired by warranty support. On 8/29 the unit went out for repair. After ALMOST A MONTH, the unit was returned to me on 9/24. Nothing has been fixed, the speakers still do not work. Absolutely the worst service ever!

    I had the same experience with my wifi. Sent it back, they returned it to me many days later with a "fixed" note. But it was just the same as before I sent it.

    It really is a shame. Acer has had a pretty good rep.

     

    My guess is the lowest bid 3rd party company available is doing the support

    No such thing as good support. I had to buy a Acer V5-122P because I had a Chromebook which I sent to a repair depot and they sent it back to someone else! Never did get it back. Luckily the merchant had set up the repair so they refunded me.

    Then I had a 3 month old Toshiba Satellite that had a hard drive failure. Still waiting for that to come back from repair.

    So I don't think Acer is alone in bad support for repairs. I have made it a point to make companies repair or make it right or I require a refund. We should never put up with a product that does not function well. No matter if its a entry level model or top line model.
