Hi all,

I hope you can help, I bought this SSD:

https://shop.sandisk.com/en-gb/products/ssd/internal-ssd/wd-red-sn700-nvme-ssd?sku=WDS400T1R0C-68BDK0

WD Red SSD SN700 4TB.

I have a Predator Helios 500 PT715-51. When I connect the SSD and boot the machine I got a blue screen from windows 11 and it doesn't boot. I can see the disk in the bios but no way to boot windows.

I m using BIOS version 1.16 with a Core i9-8950KH.

Do you know if this SSD is supposed to work on this laptop? If so, any ideas on how to make it work?

Thank you very much in advanced.

Are you perhaps confusing laptop models with Triton, Helios 500. and PT715-51 is from 2017, I believe you have a PH517-51 from 2018?

Acer tested up to 1TB Gen3 SSD, I recommend using the Gen3 Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1-2TB and not a 4TB SSD. Laptopmedia also recommends up to 1TB SSD for this 2018 laptop.

Crucial recommends up to 4TB Gen3 SSDs like what you tried but I have not seen anyone using larger than 2TB SSDs.
