Hi

My Acer Aspire 5 A515-54G-55E4 has a manufacturing date of 22 July 2019.

I want to upgrade my Wifi driver from 802.11g to 802.11ac but couldn't find it on acer website.
As per sticker on the laptop, 802.11ac is supported.
Can you please send me link where can I download this.
I am using Windows 11.

The Aspire A515-54G laptop is fitted oem with a 802.11ac 5th Gen Wi-Fi card as per sticker stuck on your laptop, the below listed model oem Wi-Fi cards from the A515-54G serviced guide are all AC type cards and if you go to the A515-54G Acer Support page there are Intel AC drivers like the Wireless LAN Driver (INT9462 and INT9560) version: 22.0.1.1 or the MTK or Atheros drivers.

The Aspire A515-54G also was fitted with the AX Wi-Fi card like the Intel AX201 card which there is a driver called Wireless LAN Driver (AX201) version: 22.40.0.7 so you can upgrade to this much quicker card also.

The Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 is a Bands 2.4, 5 GHz (160MHz) Max Speed 2.4 Gbps Wi-Fi CERTIFIED* Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and is a much quicker and a better card than the 802.11ac card that came oem with this laptop, so I would suggest that you upgrade to that card and use the available A515-54G Wireless LAN Driver (AX201) version: 22.40.0.7from the Acer support page. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    Hi @StevenGen
    Thank you for the answer.
However I tried installing Wireless LAN Driver (INT9462 and INT9560) version: 22.0.1.1 but it didn't work for me. Somehow the Realtek Driver is only visible. Even if I uninstall Realtek driver, after reboot it gets installed again and with Realtek I only able to connect to 2.4GHz network, not 5GHz network.

Hola @Shubham7161 according to the product page, this equipment does not have a Realtek Wi-Fi device, do you know if the wireless card was changed on that computer?:

    Windows 10:

    Windows 11:

    Regards.

    Hi @Alejandro_AC
I personally haven't changed it. I purchased this laptop in 2020 via Flipkart. Not sure if the seller provided me with Realtek driver itself. Is there any way to check, without disassembling the laptop?

    @Shubham7161

The seller might have switched the Wifi card to the Realtek RTL8273BE. The previous wifi card might have issue?

If you want to upgrade to the 802.11ac, you will have to change the wifi card, not the driver. You can buy the Intel 9560 Wifi card or AX201.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Yes, look for example in the device manager, the model should appear there.
