Why does the cable and battery light keep blinking on Aspire 5733 laptop when it is above 27 degree?

Hi, I have a problem with my Acer aspire 5733 laptop.

Whenever the laptop is running and the temperature is above 27 degrees

When I try to open any browser, the battery and cable lights start flashing (the cable lights are blue and the battery lights are red)And the battery stops charging

I thought the problem was with the battery so I removed it and worked with the cable only but as soon as I opened YouTube the laptop turned off

I have a feeling that the reason is the temperature because when it is 18 degrees, this problem does not occur

Please help me

Try to go to a PC repair shop and test a different charger.

This legacy W7 laptop from 2010 is no longer supported by Acer and Microsoft. Flashing LEDs indicate hardware issues and if the battery was never replaced after 14 years it will have died by now. If you upgraded to Windows10 1507 it will abort when a battery is not detected. Nothing to do with temperatures.

If you haven't changed the oem battery on this laptops after 14 years then its definitely the battery and you need to change the battery asap, but try the battery reset like shown below for this laptop.

For an upgrade of the Aspire 5733 I suggest that you do the following, if you are prepared to spend money on this laptop and to make it function allot better with Win-10 OS. Make sure you have a new battery fitted like below and upgrade the cpu to its max upgradable speed the Socket G1 Core i7-640M cpu, upgrade the mechanical 2.5” boot drive to a 2.5” SATA 3 Samsung 870 EVO SSD drive, upgrade the ram to 8GB at 2x 4GB DDR3-1600MT/s and you can even upgrade the WLAN card to a Wi-Fi/BT v4.2 card. Btw, I’ve done all this type of an upgrade to an old Aspire 5750 that is a 2nd Gen Intel Aspire laptop and of virtually the same era and it works with Win-10 perfectly and its still functioning perfectly. Good luck and hope this helps you out

Seems like a charger issue. When you use the laptop without the battery, the faulty charger cannot handle heavier loads and will automatically stop providing power to the laptop.

What you are saying makes sense and I understand it.

But now for example, the temperature is 20, and the laptop works without problems and even with opening a 1080P movie + heavy programs

there are no problems or flashing
