Hi All

I want to buy a

2.5-inch USB3.2 Gen2 Type-C Hotswap drive

I am totally confused. The dummy pop out is obviosly a particular size and has the USB Type C female connection in the middle at the end of the dummy box. I want to make sure that I buy the right size and USC C location that fits to pop out bay.

Is it the item that I have linked below (WD Red) or can someone send me a link to an example of exactly what I should buy.

Thanks for your help and sorry for such a dummy question !

Cheers c

Thanks to the guy who uploaded this picture- (The bottom right side) what I am trying to do is find the right drive size and spec to buy to fit into this slot and give me 2TB of additional space. Thanks again

    Hi FreddieLaker ,

usually I don't answer here in the international Acer Community, because I'm german and my English is not very good. But because of the private mail you did send me:

The answer from @billsey in this thread (please click on the date to open it)….

… shows that you can use any 2,5 inch Sata drive. In the box is a usual SATA connector and you just have to push the drive connector into the connector of the box.

Regarding the WD drive you linked: Are you sure you want/need a NAS SSD?

For my kind of usage eg. a less expensive WD Blue SA510 without NAS feature would be good enough.
