"I'm experiencing a problem with my RAM frequency after a recent Windows 11 update and subsequent BIOS update. My RAM, which was previously running at 3200 MHz, is now capped at 2133 MHz as shown in Task Manager.

Unfortunately, my system doesn't support the XMP profile for overclocking, and the Windows update was installed without my consent.

Also, my product is under warranty, but I don't want to send it for warranty just because of this. Can Acer authorized personnel connect to my computer remotely and fix this issue? Or can they release a new BIOS update?

If you installed an XMP memory module, then that is expected, since XMP overclocking isn't supported. The XMP memory will run at it's base clock speed, which is often 2133 or 2400. Replace it with the correct memory and it will take everything back to the 3200 speed the chipset wants.

"I didn't intervene, it's already under warranty, as the product was originally sent to me by Acer. This problem happened after the bios update. When I go into the bios settings almost everything is hidden, I don't have access to anything, I can't adjust the speed manually, before the update there was no problem with the frequencies."

I guess there is no solution, should I still give it to the authorized service under warranty?

They will just take the installed, slower memory out…
