My tablet is working like it has a mind of its own. It open and closes apps independently and deletes widgets. I reset twice with outside pin hole and 3 times with software reset option and I am having the same issue. It started 3week ago when I got an acer automatic update. I called acer but was told I was outside of my warranty. I went to bestbuy and they said it is really to old to work right. Can't afford to buy a new one. I also ran avast anti virus and malware scans.

Looking for help,

It sounds like a touchscreen issue, with "ghost touches" on the screen causing things to happen.

Unfortunately, the only way to resolve the issue would be through service of the unit.

It could be a bad connection on the ribon cable from the digitizer, i had a similur issue where the screen wasn't responding and apps would randomly open, turned out to be a bad connection.

Thank you. Were you able to find part and repair or did you have to sent it to Acer?

As my tablet was out of warranty I decided to pull the back off and see if anything was obvious, that's when I found the ribbon cable lock tab loose and the cable backed out slightly.

I just pulled the cable out and cleaned with some rubbing alcohol, re-inserted the cable and then pushed the lock tab in.

I also put a couple of dabs of RTV on the lock tab to prevent it from backing out.
