hello my question is this, can I change the location of the m2 ssd on my computer (an515-57-54lt,NH.QELEY.002) (my ssd, sk hynix hfm512gd3jx016n) According to what I read in the forum, the number 1 m2 ssd location on my motherboard is gen4, the number 2 is gen3, my ssd is in the gen4 slot, will there be any problems if I change the location of my ssd?

  • Hi @Lorawink indeed, the computer has two ports for SSD disks, in principle there should be no problems using the other port with a new disk, but I don't know if there will be problems when changing a disk with a Windows system already installed to the other port since the addressing of its files changes, it is a matter of testing it.

    Regards.

so there will be no problem if I change it, thank you

  • I don't know if the disk will be recognized when changing because, as I mentioned, the disk already has Windows installed on another port and the file address changes. You'll have to try it.
