ps4 dual shock doesn't work with 516 ge gaming Chromebook

it pairs as a wireless controller, but https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad doesn't recognize it. The controller indicator light is white, not blue, indicating only a partial connection

i have tried a hard reset, forgetting and re-pairing the controller, resetting the ps4 controller.

It used to work perfectly before, but does not work anymore with any ps4 dual shock, original or clone.

That sounds like Google has made a change to the OS that breaks the function. Try contacting them to see if they are aware of the issue.

I contacted them. how long to expect to wait for a response?

i also tried a wired USB, updating the firmware on the ps4 console, I switched to Beta from Stable Chromebook mode

    All to no avail,

Only the Acer GC501 wired controller works, but the buttons don't map well to steam or my PSP emulator
