Need help Enabling G-Sync on my Acer Predator Triton 300 SE without DisplayPort
Tinkerer
Hi there
I recently bought a monitor which comes with AMD FREESYNC PREMIUM and is G-sync compatible via displayport. My Acer has a RTX 3060 and supports NVDIA G-SYNC technology.
Since this G-sync compatibility only works via displayport, and my laptop has no displayport port, I was wondering what I could do to enable this. I guess my options are to buy a DP to HDMI adapter or a DP to USB-C (thunderbolt) adapter, does anybody know which of these should work?
Thanks😁

Hi, you can get an active USB3.0 graphics adapter with DP Alt out up to 4K 30Hz:
Amazon.com: StarTech.com USB 3.0 to DisplayPort Adapter, USB DP Monitor Converter for Windows, 4K (no support for macOS/ChromeOS/Linux) : Electronics0 -
Thanks for the response, but I'm trying to confirm whether Gsync will work with this. I bought this DP to USB-C cable today (which apparently support 8k @ 60Hz), but Gsync still not working:
