I play main games like Dota 2 for about 40-2 hours. After that, there's a freezing issue where I can't do anything except press the power button to shut down the machine. It's a recurring problem. I've tried using DDU and installing all the latest drivers, but it didn't work. I attempted to flash the BIOS, but I got a message saying, 'This BIOS is not for your Notebook.' I'm confused why this issue persists even after trying these solutions. Any advice?

  • Keep Eye on temperature and check if this happens above 90°C. Use msi afterburner for real-time monitoring

The Windows I'm using is already optimized for gaming performance. I've tried the basic methods you mentioned, but they didn't work. Recently, I've been experiencing freezing when the GPU temperature is only 72°C. Do you have any other hardware-related solutions?

  • -Check Hard drive health in which game is installed. If you have another ssd then install gaming there and check. It can hard drive fault or Reaching our of space.

    -Update Chipset driver

Make sure that you install all Win-11 OS updates and make sure that you install the Intel Drive and support Assistant software so that you have all the latest Intel drivers also installed on your laptop.

Also, go to NVidia Control Panel and at Program Settings > Select a program to customise > Select the preferred graphics processor for this program > High-performance NVIDIA processor > Specify the setting for the program is the final settings if you have specific settings for gaming and any special settings that a high-end software require. Its also helpful to run these high end gaming laptop with their max ram capacity of 32GB at 2x 16GB DDR5-4800MHz type ram.

Note: setting all the appropriate and your high demanding software to only use the RTX4070 gpu with their appropriate settings in the NVidia Control Panel will reduce lag and freezing of your laptop greatly.

Of course, all the official drivers such as Intel, Realtek, NVidia, Chipset and GPU drivers are updated to the latest versions. My GPU is 4060 RTX, and I use 32GB RAM, which is within the standard bus size limit of this laptop, which is 4800 And I've just bought this laptopless than a month ago.

Im not sure if this will help anyone but i was experiencing total freezing where all i could do is hold the power button down to restart. it started happening 2 to 3 times a day on simple gaming sessions. MTAS, Wuthering waves, even on Genshin impact and Days gone. i updated my bios reinstalled gpu drivers checked everything. i was using the Predator Sense App that came installed with windows 11. this started happening a month after buying it in march of 2024. i was using the Balanced setting in the Predator Sense app. i didnt like how the fan would spin to max then low again and again. i was getting the error in Event Viewer "The speed of processor 16 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report." or something like that. time and time again it would say that before crashes with a total freeze. so i became suspicious not knowing what it meant so i decided to put the Predator Sense mode to Performance mode. So far so good but its only been a couple days and im continuing to monitor for crashes, errors and temps. i noticed in HWmonitor app that cpu temps jumped up to 212 fahrenheit in balanced mode which is suspicious and doesnt seem right. so i think this may have been the problem this whole time.

i hope this finds or helps someone in any way as there might be a bug in the app or the system.
