can it be charged TravelMate P2 TMP214-53-P0UG via USB-C port?

in TravelMate and Extensa

I have a laptop of this model and it has such a port. Can I charge through it and what kind of charger should it be (standard)? processor - Intel Pentium Gold 7505

    Here is what spec says:

    So, yes, you should be able to charge using the TBT port. You need a charger of at least 65W, though larger will work, it shouldn't work any faster since the current draw is limited to 3.25A (65W@20V)

    Hi, Billsey posted the correct specs for your laptop: The Acer TravelMate P2 TMP214-53-P0UG does indeed support USB-C charging. It features a USB Type-C port with USB 3.2 Gen 2, DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 4, which supports up to100-Watt power delivery by a USB-C charger, I would not recommend a 65-Watt USB-C charger as that won't be able to fast charge or charge a depleted battery.     The service guide on these can be confusing, since Acer decided to lump the P214-52, P214-52G, P214-53 and P214-53G models into one manual. As shown there were SKUs that only had a 45W power supply, but it looks like all models support charging via USB-C on that TBT port. I wonder if the G models came with the 65W supply and the non-G had the 45W, even though the SG shows 65W on all? Higher power is typically needed for those versions that have the discrete GPU… To be safe though I'd go with a 65W supply if you are purchasing one for use with your system. You can go higher than the require power, or lower if you are only charging with the unit powered off and have plenty of time.

    thanks for the answer! but these are the specifications from another, very similar laptop!! my charger is only 45 watts... and thunderbolt seems to have only 3 versions
