I have an Acer XF243 the product started shutting off randomly and turning back on. I tried changing the cable. No change. Tried switching the input, tried to use with different devices, MacBook, iPad, other Laptops. Issue persists, Now Acer Wants me to pay over 50 percent of the monitors cost just to get it repaired.

Here are some possible causes and solutions:-

Power Saving Mode: Check if your monitor is set to enter power-saving mode after a certain period of inactivity. In this mode, the monitor will turn off to conserve energy. Adjust the power-saving settings in your monitor's control menus or your computer's operating system settings

Loose Connections: Ensure that all the cables connecting your monitor to your PC are securely plugged in. A loose cable connection can cause the monitor to lose the signal and turn off

Faulty Power Switch: If your monitor has a power switch, make sure it is functioning properly. Sometimes, a faulty power switch can cause the monitor to turn off while the PC remains on. Try unplugging and re-plugging the power cable into the monitor and wall outlet

Faulty HDMI Cable: If your PC is connected to the monitor via an HDMI cable, a faulty cable can cause the monitor to turn off. Try replacing the HDMI cable to see if that resolves the issue

Overheating: Monitor overheating can occur when the internal temperatures in your computer become too hot. This can cause the monitor to turn off while the PC is still running. Ensure that your computer has proper ventilation and that the air vents on your monitor are not blocked. Regularly clean out any dust buildup to prevent overheating

Energy-Saving Mode: Check if the energy-saving mode is enabled on your computer. This feature can cause the monitor to turn off after a certain period of inactivity while the PC remains on. Adjust the power-saving settings in your computer's operating system to disable this feature

Conflicting Applications: Uninstall any conflicting applications that may be causing the monitor to shut off. These applications can interfere with the monitor's functioning. Use the Windows Event Viewer to check for error messages related to your monitor shutting off and uninstall any conflicting applications

Outdated Graphics Drivers: Update your graphics drivers to the latest version. Outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues and lead to the monitor turning off. Visit your device manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card.
