So you should be able to run it, though your GPU is under recommended and you will have to free up some storage or ad more storage to the system. Likely your best bet, performance-wise, for increasing storage is to replace the 500GB SSD with a 1TB or 2TB. It's an NVMe 3.0 x4 and they are readily available. I'd also get an external NVMe case when ordering the drive to make the cloning process easier. Put the new drive in the case and attach to a high speed USB port. Clone the old drive to the new, allowing it to change the size of the system partition only. Take the new drive back out of the case, open the computer and replace the old drive with the new. Turn it back on and allow it to boot from the new drive. If everything is working as expected, put the old drive in the case, connect to the the computer and use Disk Management to wipe all partitions off it and create one partition the full size. That gets you back up with plenty of storage to run the game and gives you an external backup drive.

Just some additional advice if you want to upgrade your Aspire TC-885 desktop and if you don't want to buy a new gaming PC desktop, I suggest that you do the following, as the TC-885 came with either a 300W or a 500W Lite-On oem Acer PSU that will not be enough power for a new gpu like the NVidia 30 or if you want to go all out the 40 series NVidia gpu's!

You are lucky that the Aspire TC-885 has a mainboard with a 24pin ATX Power plug to power the mainboard, so you can upgrade the oem Acer fitted PSU to the new modular gpu's available on the market today.

The TC-885 was fitted by Acer with the most powerful gpu which was the NVidia GTX 1650.4GB GDDR5 so I suggest that you upgrade the gpu to either an RTX3060 Ti (or even an RTX4060 Ti if you want to spend the dollars???) with a modular Corsair RM750x PSU as that will give you a great scope to not only play Balders Gate 3 but other more high end games.

Of course and if you don't have the TC-885 desktops top cpu, I would upgrade to the most powerful i9-9900 cpu that has a TDP of 65W and it will run as cool as the oem i3-9100 cpu at 65W that your desktop has (but I would also upgrade the cpu cooler if you want to spend the dollars to Noctua NH-U9S) and for the i9-9900 cpu update, you need to have the last bios version: R01-C3) installed. Also be aware that the TC-885s Intel® B360 Chipset mainboard is a very efficient chipset for gaming, so you have some good bare bones to upgrade this desktop to an above mid-range gaming, video editing and multitasking platform.

You need to upgrade also to the max ram at 32 GB at 2x 16GB DDR4 2666MT/s 288-pin DIMM (NOTE: Dual channel should be enabled always when plug-in 2 same memory size DDR4 memory module.) and use a boot M.2 SSD Gen 3 x4 lane drive like a 1TB Samsung 1TB 070 EVO Plus which is one of the quickest Gen 3 drives around, for ram and M.2 SSD drive upgrades look at Acer Aspire TC-885 RAM & SSD Upgrades

Doing all the above upgrades will increase your Aspire TC-885s performance by at least 150% plus and you will be able to extend your desktops ability to play high end games, edit videos and multitask considerably with upgrading the cpu, gpu, psu, ram and the M.2 SSD boot drive that will not cost you more than USD $600. Good luck and hope this will help you out further.

so how easy is it to upgrade cpu, gpu, psu and m.2 ssd boot drive(is that a portable ssd? also do they very in size would 500gb work i don't do heavy gaming)would recommended portable ssds work decently. i already have 32 gb ram installed. not sure what you mean about pc cooler is it different from psu. is there another cpu that would do the job. thanks any idea on how long it would take if i bought parts and had them installed? or would another option be a custom build/new pc and just transfer ssd over to new pc

The cpu, gpu, psu and ssd are all plug and play components, with the ssd you will need to clone the operating system onto a new m.2 ssd drive and 512 gb is perfectly ok to upgrade to but a 1tb will be allot better, the rest is all plug and play and its easy. The cpu cooler is a Noctua NH-U9S specialist and more efficient thermal module and fan to cool the cpu when gaming or in any environment that you put your desktop to, your cpu will run cooler.
