Hi, this model was released in 2018 and if the battery was not yet replaced it will have died after 6 years. Run a battery report: Paste this in the command prompt: powercfg /batteryreport and open the report with your Edge browser, right click and select "Print to Microsoft PDF", attach the report to your reply, type @Puraw or use "Quote" when you reply so I will get an alert.

    hii @Puraw,

today again my laptop is not working so i open my laptop disconnected battery from mother board, pressing power button for 2minutes, and then i connected battery and it switched on, but i think after some time again it will not work once i restarted my system because this is happening for the forth time, i think there might be issue of that pink light because when it started with pink light from that day onwards i am facing this issue. Please find attached battery report as requested, and please give me some solution.

    Regards,

    Himanshu Narayankar.

Hi, the battery was replaced 2 years ago and shows 34% wear which is normal, what is not good is that Connected Standby is not supported (see red box)

If you are running Windows 11, the battery should support connected standby, not sure about W10 as this may be related to a Windows10 update. Things to check; is your power adapter the original adapter from 2018 or a replacement? It could be that the battery is bad or the Smart chip inside disabled the battery for whatever reason. I recommend bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country and include the power adapter or replace the battery ($43) Amazon.com: AP18E7M AP18E8M Battery for Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 AN517-51 AN515-55 AN515-52 AN515-43 AN515-44 AN515-45 AN517-52, Nitro 7 AN715-51, Aspire 7 A715-74G,Predator Helios 300 PH315-52 PH315-53 PH317-53 : Electronics

Check the battery: If the charging light is on when you connect the cable, the battery may be the issue. Try removing the battery and then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power. Then, re-insert the battery and try turning on the laptop again.

Hi, open the laptop and disconnect the battery from the motherboard, close the laptop and plug in the power adapter, if the laptop boots you should replace the battery, see my reply above, I already provided the link for a new battery. The matter of connected standby not being supported by your battery is complicated, if drivers related uninstall the 2 ACPI battery drivers in Device manager and just reboot.

If hardware related, try another power adapter with the same DC plug size and approximately the same power. If nothing works you can reset CMOS, check your 2 RAM modules and do a "Hard Reset": Open the laptop again, leave the battery disconnected, locate the CMOS module (with 2 twisted wires Red and Black under the battery) and remove the coin battery. Shorten the +/- terminals inside the CMOS capsule for 2 seconds with a bended paperclip and put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up, close the CMOS capsule. Unseat the 2 RAM modules, if you have a spare RAM module(s) replace the module(s) or just firmly secure the existing modules. Next, press the Power Button on the keyboard for 10-15 seconds after that reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard. Close the laptop, plug-in the adapter and try to boot.

Hi, do another battery report and check if connected standby shows supported now.
