I want to add a second M2 SSD to my Acer Nitro V 15

What type, size and form factor do I need to get, maybe a link to an example.

with heatsink or not or heat wrap for them. Where to get heat wrap?

What model do you have, Nitro V ANV15-51-53DG OPI with the Intel i5-13420H CPU? This model has two M.2 2280 slots – one for Gen 4 and one for Gen 3 SSDs. The Gen4 990 EVO SSD up to 2TB does not require a heat sink or thermal blanket as the SSD runs very cool, same with the Gen3 Samsung 970 EVO plus SSD up to 2TB but the Samsung 990 Pro SSDs all require heat sinks that may not fit in this laptop.

The Nitro 5 ANV15-51boot drive M.2 slot is a Gen 4x4 type and the slave is a Gen 3 x4 type M.2 slot, use the fastest read/write tested M.2 SSD for the Gen 4 x4 M.2 slot which is the Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD which come in either a 1TB, 2TB or a 4TB capacity that can be fitted into the Nitro ANV15-51 with the i7-13620H cpu.

Acer specs for the ANV15-51 storage from its service guide:

Acer use these foil composite mylar sheets for their M.2 SSD drives which is highlighted below and the foil composite with a heat pad for the ram modules, so use these two materials to wrap the M.2 drive and ram modules to cool them down, as an M.2 drive oem heatsink will not fit into a laptop as their profiles are too thick and are for desktops, the below Acer wrap foils are just as good in dissipating heat.
