How can i Add a function to F8 key on my Acer EX215-54?

Hello I have an Acer EX215-54. My F8 key has no function so I was wondering how to add a function to it. Like pause a song on spotify or something. Does anyone know how?

  Typically that type of activity is controlled by the software you are running, though you could always write something to do that function. There are standards for what key codes are used for media functions…

  What do you mean by software? Will I have to go into bios or something and change the function? If there is a way to change is there a good Youtuber who says how to do it.

  You make a shortcut first, like a .bat file that plays a song or opens a file, and safe that shortcut to your desktop then do this: Assign Shortcut Key to Shortcut in Windows 11 Tutorial | Windows 11 Forum (elevenforum.com)
