I want to upgrade RAM for my laptop Aspire (A715-51G) currently 8gb to 24 gb (8+16). which would be the best according to my PC configuration and also in which slot should i insert 16 gb ram stick.

You can't have 24GB of ram in the Aspire A715-51G laptop as the ram has to be the same size in every slot and like 2x 4GB modules or 2x 8GB modules or 2x 16GB modules of DDR4-3200MT/S CL22 type ram, you cant have 1x 16GB and 1x 8GB ram module.

Consider upgrading with 2x8GB (16GB) or 2x16GB (32GB) SODIMMs (kits with identical modules, see link below) as that will run in Dual Channel Mode, mixed modules 8+16GB (24GB) will run in slower Single Channel Mode.
