What type and size of drive is installed? Those shipped with either a SATA HDD or a SATA SSD. If you have a HDD then the first step will be to put a SSD in as your boot drive. You want an M.2 2280 SATA drive, and NVMe will not work on this older machine. Once you have the drive, install it in the M.2 slot, #3 in this diagram:

With the new drive installed use a disk cloning software package to clone your existing HDD to the SSD, then shutdown and remove the HDD. When you turn it back on it should boot from the SSD and you will see a big improvement in speed. After you are sure everything is working right you can put the HDD back in and use Disk Management to wipe it clear of all partitions then create one partition the full size of the drive for data.

You currently have 8GB of memory, likely as two 4GB sticks. The next upgrade will be to bump that either to 16GB with two more 4GB sticks or to 32GB with four 8GB sticks. You need DDR4 2400MHz memory without XMP support. Putting XMP memory in will actually run things slower than the normal memory.

What GPU do you have installed now? They came with GTX 1060, 1070 or 1080 IIRC. Those should be able to be upgraded to the equivalent 20x0, 30x0 or 40x0 cards, though I wouldn't spend a lot on this machine, so maybe a used RTX 3060… You also need to know what power supply is installed, they will give the size on a sticker. They came with either a 500W or a 750W. If you have the 500W you won't be able to use the higher end cards without also upgrading the power, but the 3060 will work with the 500W supply.

You could upgrade the CPU to an i7-6700 but it's not going to be worthwhile, it will give a very small improvement.
