You don’t need the serial number or SNID to get the bios file for your Acer Aspire ES1-512 laptop. Go to the Acer Support page for your Acer Aspire ES1-512 is the version 1.15 - 1. Improve System Performance - 2015/08/13 and download the executable file that needs to be installed within the Windows OS like Win-8.1 that this laptop came with or the upgraded Win-10 OS. You should have NO problems flashing the bios file named TPBI0115 Application within your windows OS. Below is the README FILE of this bios file, it’s a very simple thing to do. If this bios does NOT flash or work within your Win-8.1 or Win-10 then you have a corrupted bios and/or operating system.

    How to update the BIOS:,

    Click "TPBI0115.exe" under Windows mode

    Release Note:

    1. Improve System Performance.

A laptop as old as the Acer Aspire ES1-512 needs its rtc/bios battery changed as that is why you could have some bios flash problems. Change the bios battery first and then flash the bios to the last version 1.15, as that should work 100%,

But and before you flash the bios, make sure that you turn off the antivirus, and you do not run any software in the background, your laptop is plugged into the mains power through the adapter and there is no chance of a power failure or your laptop does not have any BSOD crashes that could happen mid-way through a bios flash, as all these factors could brick your laptop if they interrupt the bios flash. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

This is the RTC/BIOS battery of your ES1-572 laptop that you need to change, its next to the Ram DIMM slots
