PO7-650, keeps crashing all the time, applications and games keep crashing continuously

Hello,I have a PO7-650, and about two weeks ago I tried to update my graphics card (RTX 4090). The update failed, and I contacted NVIDIA support. They told me that my BIOS was outdated, which is why I couldn't update it. I updated my BIOS, and since then, I've been having a lot of issues with my computer. It keeps crashing and going to a blue screen with CRYPTO_LIBRARY_INTERNAL_ERROR and 0XC000021A and somthing like critical process died, games crash every few mins, and even the browser and apps keeps crashing. I checked the EVENT VIEWER and I constantly see recurring issues there like DISTRIBUTED COM and KERNEL PROCESSOR POWER. I tried following troubleshooting guides on YouTube, but nothing worked. Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be and how to fix it? I ran tests on the RAM and SSD, tried reinstalling Windows from a USB with a clean install on both the SSD and HDD, but nothing worked and I have no idea how to resolve this."

    Something happened two weeks ago, and that's when the problems started. Okay. I'm sorry but what did you do exactly? I mean, what were you trying to update?

    Did your PC come with a 4090 preinstalled, or did you replace the original card yourself? Swapping a GPU should not require BIOS update.

    If it is an aftermarket card, what model is it?

    Could be many things. GPU could be faulty, motherboard has some issues, or even Acer PSU (doesn't provide enough "clean" power to the card).

    Can you test your 4090 in some other PC to see it works there? Can you test another GPU in your system as well? If no more crashes and problems, then the most likely culprit is your motherboard.

    Which power supply is installed in your PO7-650? They shipped with 800W, 850W or 1200W supplies IIRC. Did the 4090 come preinstalled or did you update to it? Can you take a picture of the BSOD so we can see the fine print?

    The power supply that came with the computer is 1200W. I did not upgrade the graphics card.

    I have pictures of 2 error messages, but I am also getting another one, something like "critical processor power."

    I also checked the power supply voltages today with a multimeter, and everything seems perfectly fine.

    Interesting suggestion from NVIDIA. I take you have had this PC for some time now. If so, I'm sure you have updated the driver few times without any problems. I hope you d/l the GPU driver directly from NVIDIA and not Acer. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    Updating a GPU driver shouldn't require motherboard BIOS update. Maybe something went wrong with the BIOS update as well? If you already haven't, can you download and update the mobo BIOS again?

    [Maybe NVIDIA meant VGA BIOS/firmware, but even that makes no sense as NVIDIA support doesn't know the inner workings of your prebult PC unless a problem is well documented online by users and Acer itself.]

    Good news is that your PC worked well with the current card and PSU before the failed update. So, your PSU should(!) be good enough.

    Download GPU-Z. What does it tell you? Are VGA "BIOS version" and "Driver version" the latest? Do you see anything weird? Here's just a pic for reference what I got with my aftermarker card. Yes, I don't have the latest driver installed.

    My next step would be to visit a friend and see the card works in another PC. Just pick a friend who has a good namebrand PSU (850w or more). If the card works there without problems, try another card in your PC. If that works as well, then it might be motherboard related.

    I couldn't install the graphics card driver, and after I updated the BIOS with NVIDIA's support, the problem was resolved. It sounded a bit strange to me as well, but it worked... Now, after I reformatted the computer again, the driver is also not updated... Here's the picture of CPU-Z on my system.

    Good that you got it working again.

    If you wonder about the different values between our cards, I have undervolted (cooler and quieter operation) and memory overclocked (+1200MHz) my card with MSI Afterburner.

    instead of focusing on the GPU what CPU did that pc come with?

    intel is having MAJOR issues with ALL 13th-14 gen CPUs.

    it could be that.

    I was able to get to Windows all the time, but the problem is that it keeps crashing and bringing me to the blue screen of death.

    And I keep getting Error 37 ("37 kernel-processor-power") constantly in the Event Viewer.

    yeah im guessing its from all the instability issues intel is having check windows update in the optional update section to see if you have an acer firmware-BIOS update. that may help.

    Sorry to hear that. Like mentioned above, you might have a bad CPU. But if you do, a bit of code will most likely not help as it is coming too late.

    "[A] patch is coming in mid-August that should address the “root cause” of exposure to elevated voltage. But if your 13th or 14th Gen Intel Core processor is already crashing, that patch apparently won’t fix it."

    If you are one of the unlucky ones, and that is a big if, I find it interesting that the fault started to manifest itself when you were updating your GPU driver. To me this would suggest that your CPU is uneffected, but who knows?

    Is there still a chance for a refund? If not, you may have to get a new CPU later when the fixes and whatnots are out, if(!) your CPU is one of those affected.

    dude i had a 13700K and i returned it while i still could i wasn't taking any chances and i bought a 12900K for half price instead.

    at least the 12th gen is stable and secure and getting one for half price was awesome.

    Chug, for once I'm glad I didn't upgrade. Thankfully there was no point since @4K120 i5-12600 and 4090 do the job well enough.

    I have high hopes for the coming AMD CPUs, mainly 9700x. There is still some time to waste before the reviews are out. If the uplift is considerable… take my money!

    wow that's good news that a 12600-4090 work together most ppl i know pair their 4090's with a 12900K.

    yeah, its messed up i had tested a 14900K-14700K-14700-13700K all were crashing like crazy on this gigabyte elite x wifi7 mb i was testing them on.

    I'm like what is going on Yanno. so, i changed to an Asus rog strix gaming-e and tested a 13700K on it and it ran amazing so I'm like ok problem solved gigabyte mb's are junk lol.

    then all this news about the 13th-14th gen came out and i was like it's not worth it taking a chance something will most likely go wrong and i was fortunate enough i was still in my return window.

    Intel has acknowledged the issue and has taken full responsibility, extending the warranty for these processors. On their website, there's an option to receive an extended warranty or replacement for BOX or TRAY processors. For OEM processors, they advise contacting the manufacturers (like ACER). The issue is that there is no way to reach ACER support all the links on their site are broken, and even emailing them leads straight to an ACER community page. It might be because they are no longer operating in my country. Does anyone know how to contact international support or something?

    I tried, and they told me to contact the store where I bought it, but I purchased it while I was in the USA.
