Poor Cooling on Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-72T-95LG)

I recently purchased this model of Swift Go 16, and it's been performing great, except for when it thermal throttles (which it does a lot). Even at idle (5% CPU load avg), the CPU temperature sits around 60C. This makes it a pretty unpleasant experience to type on when programming or doing office tasks, and gaming is pretty limited. I haven't experienced any instability, but is there any way to squeeze more performance out of this laptop? It seems like the cooling solution is reused from the weaker and smaller 14" model, so I'm not holding out much hope.
