The previous version (2022) of this Chromebook came with a stylus, the CP714-2W-56B2 (2023) is not. Acer offers 2 different ones, the universal one (USI) and the AES one. Will any of these work with the CP714-2W-56B2?

There would normally be an 'N' at the end of the model number if it had an active digitizer, so a CP714-2WN. The CP714-2W without the N wouldn't have an active digitizer, so the closest you can get to a stylus is the typical blunt tipped pen.

I ordered it from BestBuy and it finally arrived. I have not unpacked it yet but it does not have "N" in the model number. I gave the serial number from the box to Acer support and they told me that the Acer USI Rechargeable Active Stylus - ASA110 will work with this Chromebook. I'll try and I'll report back.

I got the generic USI stylus from Amazon to test it out. I'm happy to report that it works very well. The pressure sensor works pretty well and it is fast to respond. I just tested it with the generic drawing software preloaded with the Chromebook. I have not tested it with Photoshop yet.

    Hello,

You can use a stylus with the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (CP714-2W-56B2). This model is compatible with USI (Universal Stylus Initiative) styluses1. The touch display supports any USI-certified stylus, so you can use the universal USI stylus offered by Acer.
