A314-32 Never wakes up from sleep regardless of OS

Whether it's Kali, Arch, or even Windows 11/10, my laptop never wakes up from sleep.

*Details*

>I leave laptop Idle and have it be on sleep mode.

>First few minutes and it can still wake up from sleep.

> Leave it for some time and it will never wake up.

> Power indicator says it is on, but when I click on my backlit keyboard the KB lights will suddenly go out as if it just suddenly turned off.

> Will need to hard power off

>On some occasions, even after powering it off completely, the first time powering it up after that will just repeat the same problem and I will need to do another hard reboot.

Important note: I've described it as much as I could AFTER multiple tests which includes intentionally triggering that problem and even changing OS.

Now I know I can just prevent it from sleeping but I really need to fix it. I suspect it is the bios' fault since regardless of OS it still happens

In Windows, reset the Power Plan to Balanced and reset that plan to factory defaults, disable Hibernate and Fast Startup in "Choose what opening the lid does" (Power Pan). I don't know about Linux. I believe your BIOS 1.24 has S0-S3 switches in the Main Info screen that you can try to disable/enable.

I don't think A314-32's BIOS has that switches. If there is, I might need some help identifying it. I am on Linux for years and its really frustrating not being able to suspend properly knowing that the machine will never wake up if I let it so. I was also on W11 when this issue started happening (my memory of W10 is vague at this point).

The new system suspend protocol in W10-11 is called Modern Standby and if enabled in Windows registry it will override some power suspend settings and the Power Plan will be fixed to factory default Balanced that cannot be changed.
