I bought the Predator X45 when it first was available in August 2023. It's a beauty, and is great to game on… until you are incredibly annoyed by the 'features' you cannot disable.

Not only does it show an annoying popup every few hours, but it also pixel shifts and temporal dithers. All of these 'features' cannot be disabled, and according to a recent community answer this will never change.

I have waited over 6 months in hopes that Acer would release a simple firmware update to allow us to disable these 'features', however it seems likely this will never happen. As a consumer we own our hardware and should be allowed to customize it accordingly.

Buyer beware! DO NOT buy an Acer OLED monitor until simple changes are made.

    I want to second this!

It is completely unacceptable that they bring out a Firmware update and suddenly I get a Nag Screen every 4 hours that CANNOT BE TURNED OFF.

I mean, seriously? Who greenlit a feature like this? It makes the monitor completely unusable for me. Sadly I have it over a month now and cant return it for a refund.

Acer is blacklisted for me. Will never buy anything from this company ever again. You cant treat customers like this! Especially not with a monitor that costs $1700!

Yeah, I was extremely happy with my purchase until i realized that warning can't be disabled. The audacity of someone designing such a "feature" just shows how out of touch the management is becoming.

It's a shame, because the monitor is absolutely beautiful.
