Hello everyone, I have a question about the new laptop I bought, it is an aspire a315-58 with an i7 11th gen and the new intel iris xe.

For a long time I wanted to put 16GB of RAM but I only found 12GB RAM, I installed it and it was perfect, but I had no doubt that when I saw the task manager I saw that the mhz of the rams dropped from 2667mhz to 2400mhz, I searched on the internet and This option appeared in the XMP bios.

I tried to enter the bios and I was able to but I couldn't find the XMP option. If anyone knows how to activate it, please answer me. By the way, the motherboard is called Camelia v1.35.

Thank you.

    Hi,

There are no Advanced settings available for most of the laptops, so you can not change the basic speed of the RAM from 2400MHz to 2666MHz, however, when you start using your laptop using more faster applications, it will automatically raise the speed to 2666MHz, it's the characteristic of the XMP profile memory modules, you see the basic speeds only for the time being because the system thinks it's sufficient speed for what you are doing at the moment, when you start doing more demanding applications check the speed in Task Manager.

And this is what I should deal with, you see, with this laptop I often use it to play games like Fortnite, GTA V, Asseto Corsa and more.
I've had this computer for about 10 months, what I have to do is keep waiting, there is no program to put it on.

But the most important thing what kind of fast apps can i use?
Thank you very much for helping me, I hope to receive another response.

This model classified as "Everyday Laptop" and it means it's a basic laptop, mostly suitable for browsing, watching Youtube, playing music, some office apps, online banking, video chat and light games but not suitable for heavy games, when you buy a Gaming laptop next time around, ask questions in Gaming section in this forum, other members will provide you with enough information needed for your purchase.
