I've given up with Acer Support. I keep checking everything they ask but they keep looping to ask me to check that the laptop is compatible.

If I have confidence that my Nitro can charge vis USB C then I'll continue to work at it.

Does anyone know if my model charges via USB C and if there's a minimum voltage/power/amps required?

Thank you

Details below:

MS Windows 11 System Information says:
- System model is Nitro 515-56
- System Name: LAPTOP-PMDDM6J8
Label on the back says :
- Model N20C1
- AN515-56-58H8

Drivers up to date

Thunderbolt controller says Thunderbolt 4
There is a Thunderbolt Lightning icon next to the USB C port

My other laptop and and Chromebook charge fine on both
- My 45W USB charger works (up to 15V 3A)
- 100W battery pack (up to 20V 5A)

I've got the same Nitro 5 AN515-56 laptop, here are all the specifications of the 1x right side USB-C/TBT4 port from the Acer service guide for the AN515-56 laptop. I've given you also the Swift SFX14-51G laptop that is charged with a USB-C/TBT4 port adapter only that I own also to compare the specs for that laptop with the USB-C/TBT4 charging port or the Nitro. I think that a USB-C 135W adapter will charge the Nitro AN515-56 laptop, please let me know if you attempt to geta USB-C adapter and charge this laptop and it works, as I've never tried it😀. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    Swift SFX14-51G laptop with a 100W Type C Brick 5V/3A_9V/3A_12V/3A_15V/3A_20V/5A charger:

The 100W USB-C charger does not charge the Nitro AN515-56 laptop or operate it like the oem 135W barrel charger, I've tried my Swift SFX14-51G USB-C 100W 20v-5v charger described above and it does nothing, so try a more powerful USB-C charger of at least 130W😀.

your Nitro 5 AN515-56 can charge via the USB-C port, but you'll need a 100W+ PD charger that is compatible with the laptop's charging specifications.
