Hello, I am an owner of Acer Nitro 5, model AN515-45 and for last several weeks I have been having problems with my touchpad stopping to work.

Issue: Touchpad stops working and doesn't show up as a device in Windows Device manager. This usually happens when laptop is started or woken from sleep.

What I have tried: Disabling and reenabling touchpad with Fn+F2, I have tried uninstalling device in DM, I have tried getting the latest drivers from Acer, I have, of course, tried restarting the laptop. Neither of those things helped.

What helps, but only temporarily: Only thing that helped was going to BIOS and resetting default options - I have NOT entered or changed anything in BIOS myself ever before this problem. After reseting the options with F9 and booting into Windows, the touchpad works. However - only for some period of time - hours, day or two at max. Eventually, I happen to open the laptop only to have it suddenly not work anymore again. I suspect something with power management to be the culprit, since through my observation I believe that it happens when wake or turn on the laptop.

Does anyone have please any ideas what could it be and what can I try to deal with it once and for all?
