We have purchased a brand new aspire v3-531, we have followed the instructions to power up then follow the instructions but we only get the no bootable device found message, what does this mean and what do we need to do?

  • Is you computer shipped with windows 7 or windows 8?

Check if the hard disk is detected in BIOS.

Tap the F2 key as soon as you restart the computer and check if the hard disk is detected to next to HDD model name in information tab. You may also set the first boot device as hard disk.

Hi, the laptop was shipped with windows 8, I think you already suspected it was a hard drive problem, it has now gone back to the shop for repair, very sad Smiley Sad Thank you for your reply, everything you suggested was the same procedure we went through with Acer. Smiley Happy
