acer x110p projector HDTV

Was wondering if anyone can assist, this projector advises it can output HDTV @1080p however it only has input for vga svideo component, no hdmi, can anyone explain how you connect an hdmi source to be able to display a 1080p image?

    Odd that it boasts HD capability without providing an HD input, but you can easily buy a converter; go to your favorite online store and use the phrase 'vga to hdmi', possibly using words like 'converter' or 'adapter' as well. Know that it is very unlikely that the projector will actually display true 1080p with a VGA input. Also know that the more adapters you have to use (and the longer the wire) will create more 'noise' that could slightly worsen the image.

    Thanks for your quick reply, yes very odd, I though that maybe it had an internal media player or upscaling ability but it would appear not.
    To be honest as there are no HDMI ports I wasnt expecting to have an HD image when I bought it but I found the "HDTV" comment in item specs confusing.
    ill give the convertor a go but I wouldnt imagine it will be any better than if if the image was coming from a VGA source!
