it's not normal. When did you get this laptop?

if it is under return and replace window then contact seller and ask for replace. If not, then sent it to acer service center for replacing thermal paste ..

Sometime it can be normal and we need to prevent it by fps cap or using cooling pad with stands. Only if you are living in hot weather country now like in india iit's Too hot now and electronics behave like this. You can try-

    1. FPS Cap- Caping fps to lower value like 60, 100, 120, 140, etc can greatly lower cpu temperature and keep cool
(Cap you fps through Nvidia software or use RTSS)
    2. Prop the laptop up with the books on the sides to reduce Temperature
Grab stack of 2-4 books that are equally thick. Slide the spine of a book 2–3 inches (5.1–7.6 cm) under the right side of the laptop. Do the same on the left side of the laptop.

[You can also Buy good cooling pad in which stands are inbuilt, its better than books]

3)You can follow this below guide completely to reduce Cpu load and increase game performance-

The below temps are what Acer specifies as the EC cpu temps and OS shutdown for this laptop in its service guide. As you can see that the cpu can reach temps of an OS & EC Shut Down: Trigger = 110C so 95-99° while gaming is normal, as this is only momentarily with this laptop nd doesn't last long, as that is what this gaming laptop was designed for, as the cpu/gpu should cool down afterwards to normal temps.

What you should do is buy a top quality tablet cooler and keep the laptop from being flat on a table which blocks its bottom vents, so that its underneath vents can circulate and be pumped with fresh air from the tablet cooler, as all this extra air will reduce gaming temps by at least 10C-15C, I use a tablet cooler with a Nitro laptop, and it works great in high end gaming, also make sure that you have the NVidia GeForce Experience software installed and the latest version NVidia game ready driver is also installed and you play all games through the GeForce Experience settings which will also reduce the cpu/gpu temps. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.

    Thermal Management

    • CPU TCC Trigger: 92C
    • OS Shut Down: Trigger = 110C; Need De-bounce 30times
    • EC Shut Down: Trigger = 110C; Need De-bounce 30times
    • H/W Shut down: Trigger = 95C
    • Sampling time: 1 second
    • Level 1~5: Retry time: 10 seconds
    • Level 6~7: Retry time: 5 seconds
    • Level 1~8: CPU control or GPU control
    • Level 8~1: CPU control or GPU control

Let me know how you managed your temperature. Did the issue is solved? If yes, then how?
