all-in-one Acer Z3-715 not compatible with Windows 11

Can I upgrade the CPU in my all-in-one Acer Z3-715 with intel i5-7400T CPU so I can install Windows 11? I really like the computer and would prefer to upgrade the mother board than buy new hardware, if that can be done and it makes sense to do that.

The best CPU to upgrade to is I7-7700T according to this thread but not sure that will support Windows11.

According to Microsoft it needs to be 8th gen or better to support Windows 11. the 7700T is still 7th gen.

There were actually two versions of the Z3-715, a 6th gen and a 7th gen. You can't put the 7th gen CPUs into a 6th gen motherboard, or visa versa. Neither version supports Windows 11. Just keep running Windows 10 until you are ready to upgrade the system to a newer one.
