I have an Aspire All-in-one desktop and I just upgraded my memory to 16gb. I am curious about upgrading my i5 processor to something better. I am having issues trying to find what is compatible. Any easy answers?

The best CPU is I7-7700T. Or you can go with any 7th gen with T at the end

Just as an additional suggestion for your i5-7400T (4 core, 4 threads, 2.4GHz to 3.0GHz, L2 cache 1MB, L3 cache 6MB, 35W TPD) that is if that is your OEM CPU? Or whatever other i5 CPU that you have in your Aspire Z3-715 All-In-One? See this reliable and excellent CPU upgrade guide here: CPU-Upgrade: Intel Core i5-7400T CPU (cpu-upgrade.com) as the top and most compatible processor upgrade is the Core i7-7700T (if you can get one?) that has 4 core, 8 threads, 2.9 GHz to 3.8GHz, L2 cache 1MB, L3 cache 8MB, 35W TPD which is 100% upgradable and compatible, this CPU can also handle up to a max of 64 GB memory and can also take the DDR4-2133/2400 or is also used with the DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V memory motherboards, these are all OEM specs, simple

Thank you for the information!!!! The only other question is about the memory. Crucial says the MAX memory is 16GB and not to exceed that. Is that based on what the motherboard can handle? Or is it based on the processor? One stated that the Core i7-7700T can handle max of 64GB memory. So would I be able to upgrade the memory again?

It's based on the motherboard design. It only has two DIMM sockets, and each can be up to 16GB, so 32GB max.

The CPU specs for memory that I've given you above is from Intel and it’s for the  Core i7-7700T CPU max memory that it can handle only, which is for and in different computers with different motherboards and chipsets and its not for your Aspire Z3-715. Note, allot of memory manufacturers don't give you the correct guide to max memory/speeds/timing that your laptop/desktop/AIO can handle, but and as far as I know, the Aspire Z3-715 only (not the Z3-715-URXX models as they are not the same and won't take both of these memory modules ) your Z3-715 can take a max of 16GB in its 2x slots of either DDR4 PC4-17000 2133MHz 260-pin SODIMM or the DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz 260-pin SODIMM, also have a look at your current OEM memory specs with CPUID (in Memory and SPD sections) and determine which memory speed/timing that you have? As that is a good guide to the memory that it can handle also in comparison. You can also find out “PC memory specs” e.g. max capacity, speed, size, type, part number, form factor through command prompt (as administrator) from the link I’ve given you, so figure and find out that way.

Btw, this is the cmd for Max memory for your Aspire Z3-715 - systeminfo | findstr /C:"Total Physical Memory"
