Did you flash BIOS version 1.17 dated 2016/11/15? Why flashing but not just upgrading/installing online? You may have bricked your laptop. 2 Options, bring the laptop to Acer Services in your country to reset BIOS or reprogram the EPROM or open the laptop and reset CMOS that will also reset BIOS: Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Locate the CMOS module (with 2 twisted wires Red and Black) and remove the coin battery. Shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS capsule for 2 seconds with a bended paperclip and put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up, close the CMOS capsule. Next, press the Power Button on the keyboard for 10-15 seconds after that reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard. Close the laptop, plug-in the power adapter and try to boot.

The Aspire ES1-131 bios flash is a very simple bios flash to do within windows, you probably had a software or your anti virus running and it corrupted the bios version, as these bios updates don't just crash for no reason, as you are instructed by Acer to do the following:

    How to update the BIOS:
    Click "ZHKD117.exe" under Window's mode

    Release Note:
1.update EC V2.8 to modify hot key battery shipping mode for support JP keyboard
    2.update TXE 2084
    3.update MCU 353
4.correct the LPC voltage setting to 3.3V

Anyway, and if you have experience, here is the official Acer SG guide for the Aspire ES1-131 Crisis Disk Recovery, read this guide and ONLY try to recover the bios if you KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING to try and extract the bios ZHK.FD file from the last version 1.17 bios file for this recovery crisis USB drive and guide, as that is what you need to do and follow this guide of how to recover the bios.

If you have NO experience in bios recovery, I suggest that take your laptop to either Acer Tech Support who will do this for you or to an experienced technician that can reprogram your bios if he has all the appropriate tools to do so. I take NO responsibility with this Acer guide and/or if you completely brick your laptop and you will need to replace the bios chip, which is another option. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

I'm including the Aspire ES1-131 service guide for your information as its available online also, so look at this service guided on page 2-10 under the heading of "The BIOS Flash Utilities" as there is a guide of how to Restore a BIOS when it becomes corrupted. See if this guide recovers your bricked bios. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Note: If the bios can't be recovered then you should be able to buy a replacement bios chip online with the last bios version 1.17 for the Aspire ES1-131 laptop as they are available, then you can get a technician to install this bios chip for you and get your laptop working, if you can't get a bios chip online, then search for a technician that can reprogram your existing bios chip as that can also be done.
