Replacing a DC power connector/jack for a Predator Helios PH18-71
I got a new Predator Helios PH18-71 as a Christmas present last December, but it turns out that the DC power connector/jack is broken. I've been unable to find a replacement part online. I took it to a repair shop in town, but they haven't been able to find the past it needs either. I need the computer for a job, so I can't afford to wait a couple weeks sending it back to Acer for repairs. What should I do?

The DC_IN port that you need is a 1.7mm diameter x 5.5mm long port, try NORTHBRIDGEFIX > PORTSCONNECTORS as they have a wide range of these ports so ask them if they have the one that fits the PH18-71 laptop. Good luck.
