So recently today, I had to replace my fan on my computer and afterwards it seemed to shut down my laptop whenever I unplug it. It wasn't doing this before and I was wondering how I would go about fixing this.

Which Acer laptop model do you have, as changing a cooling fan should not do that to your laptop unless you didn't unplug the main battery when you did this and you shorted the charging main power rail or the battery mainboard solder fuse tripped making the battery not supply any power to the laptop. Look at the battery first if its in good health, do a cmd prompt battery report and also do a hard reset of your laptop and see if that resets the laptop by taking the main battery out first, disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and short its +&- pins at the mainboard plug to reset CMOS and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for 1 hour and reconnect everything back and reboot, see if the laptop resets and doesn't turn off when the adapter is unplugged, if this doesn't help then take your laptop a technician as you must have shorted something inside the laptops that needs diagnosing and fixing. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

(connect only 1x ram if you have 2x ram modules) to see if the ram is not faulty and causing this

There could be an issue with the connection between the battery and motherboard.

What if my cmd prompt battery report says this? What does that mean?

    DESIGN CAPACITY 58,751 mWh

    FULL CHARGE CAPACITY

    40,117 mWh

Battery is still in good condition after 5 years, I think like others above, a loose RAM module connection or other bad contact (fan, battery, SSD). After you checked all the plug and adapter connections and still can't boot, I recommend bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country.
